The Platinum Ledger acknowledges individuals from the past and present and their contributions to the art form. It replaces the previous Ledger of Honour. Previous recipients are automatically included.
Platinum Ledgers are awarded to two recipients each year:
- one presently active, who best represents the ideals of the awards. The recipients need not be directly involved in publishing or creating comics, so the field opens up to include scholars, journalists, bloggers and podcasters, event organisers and the like, as well as creators and publishers.
- one deceased or retired. A person from the rich past of Australian comics who helped shape the art form in some meaningful way.
The Judging Panel will decide the recipients and the results will be announced at the Ledger Awards Ceremony, held on the weekend of Melbourne Supanova, 2015.
